Hello Tim,

I stumbled upon your blog a few days ago and I am glad I found it!

I am into simulation of metal extrusion (and yes, as you would like it, I validate my simulation with lab testing!). I do share some of your views regarding simulation/Computer-aided tools- especially in the context of your posts, Toys in The Sandbox and Rocket Science.

Nevertheless, I am happy I can benchmark my simulations with repeated testing in the lab … each time I get better at it!!

Here is the question, most of your blog is about stamping right? Can you suggest if there is another authority who blogs on extrusion procees/dies?

By the way, the extrusion simulation code I use is called HyperXtrude. I would be glad to pick up some ‘nuggets’ from you.
