1 Comment How to Make Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs
Happy Easter!
Today, I want to share with you how to engineer the perfect Easter egg. An unusual post for this site, but I know die guys like myself appreciate good food.
Following my recipe here, you can expect to get perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs without cracks in the shells.
Here is how I make the perfect hard boiled eggs for Easter:
What you need:
- (1) 4 liter bowl
- (1) 5 quart pot with lid
- (1) egg tongs
- (1) tablespoon vinegar
- (1) teaspoon salt
- (12) eggs
- (1) bag ice
Steps:
- Take the eggs out of the ice box (refrigerator) and carefully place in the pot.
- Fill pot with cold tap water until the eggs are an inch or so below water.
- Pour in vinegar and salt.
- Place pot on stove and turn on heat to medium.
- Bring water to gentle boil.
- Cook for 1 minute.
- Turn heat off and cover the pot.
- Let eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes.
- Fill the bowl with cool water.
- After the 10 minutes are up, use tongs to remove eggs from hot water to the cool water.
- Once the eggs cool to the water temperature, add a few hand-fulls of ice to the water.
- After the ice melts, add enough ice to cover the top of the eggs.
- Let the eggs get as cold as the ice water.
- Remove the eggs, dry, and enjoy!
Serving Suggestion:
Peel, slice in half, and season with salt and a few drops of Tabasco® Pepper Sauce. Bam!
